Courses Offered
Level 1-2 Certification
This combined Level 1–2 course, aligned with WorkSafeBC requirements, provides essential training for workers who may encounter, handle, or remove asbestos-containing materials. It builds from foundational awareness into practical, hands-on knowledge needed for safe asbestos abatement in low to moderate risk environments.
Completion of the certificate will allow you to legally and safely work with or around asbestos-containing materials in low to high risk environments. It qualifies you to identify hazards, follow required control procedures, and carry out basic asbestos handling and removal work in compliance with BC safety regulations.
LEVEL 3 Certification
This Level 3 course, aligned with WorkSafeBC requirements, is designed for supervisors responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing asbestos abatement projects. It focuses on advanced hazard assessment, regulatory compliance, and effective site management to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with provincial standards.
Completion of this certification qualifies you to supervise asbestos abatement operations, develop and enforce safe work procedures, conduct site inspections, and ensure full compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations on complex or high-risk projects.
LEVEL S CERTIFICATION
This Level S course, aligned with WorkSafeBC requirements, provides specialized training for professionals responsible for identifying, inspecting, and assessing asbestos-containing materials in buildings. It focuses on conducting thorough surveys, sampling procedures, and accurate reporting to support safe planning and abatement decisions.
Completion of this certification qualifies you to perform asbestos building surveys, collect and document material samples, and produce compliant asbestos reports used to guide safe renovation, demolition, and abatement work in accordance with BC regulatory standards.
